Civilized Society

Since this kid insists he's coordinated enough to use a big spoon by himself,

(Notice his mad skill of placing the food on the spoon. Effective eh?)

I decided it was time to to give the mane a trim.

Who better to do it than Aunt Mitzi?

With a little help from youtube's Sesame Street,

(I can't believe how effective the laptop is for pointing the head in the perfect direction. Tip head down? Place laptop on floor. Brilliant!)

We've got ourselves a trimmed, independent, less savage like creature.

I'm sure the large purple shiner on the forehead and the food and snot stains will definitely help his chances as a civilized person.

Welcome to society kid.

  1. OH my gooooooooooosh. There is no end to this kids cuteness is there???? You know, Brookelyn will be three in a little over 6 weeks, and we've never...ever...given her a haircut.

  2. He is SO cute! I can't believe I never thought to use the laptop for head positioning during haircuts! You are a genius. I'm doing this tomorrow!

  3. He totally looks like a little boy in these pictures! Where did our babies go?

I keep waiting for Blake to grow enough hair to need a haircut. I tried to trim a few long straggly hairs he had, but that ended badly so I'll leave it to someone more skilled when the time comes.

As far as eating with utensils, Blake tries to use his for the first few minutes of the meal, then holds the utensil in one hand while he uses the other hand to shovel food into his mouth. I'd say he's ready for society.
